On his way back to Mar-A-Lago, President Trump's motorcade rerouted to avoid March for Our Lives protesters.

According to the Palm Beach Post, President Donald Trump spent Saturday at his golf course in Palm Beach as students across the country took the streets marching against gun violence.

Upon his return to Mar-A-Lago, Trump would have encountered March for Our Lives protesters but the presidential motorcade opted for an alternate route instead.

UPDATE 9:04 a.m.: The president has arrived at Trump International Golf Club in suburban West Palm Beach. Depending on how long he spends there, he may see March for Our Lives demonstrators who plan to walk his motorcade route this afternoon.

UPDATE 2:20 p.m.: The president’s motorcade has taken a detour away from the March for Our Lives. Upon leaving his golf club, the motorcade turned north on Australian Avenue, then east on Okeechobee Boulevard.

The motorcade then headed over the middle bridge to Palm Beach and continued traveling east to A1A, where it turned right and made the approximately 1.5 mile scenic, oceanfront drive to Mar-a-Lago.

The detour enabled the president to avoid not only the March for Our Lives but also a large impeachment billboard installed along the motorcade route last week.
