Arrested Giuliani Associate Attended Trump's Invite-Only Election Night Party

The president has said he doesn't know either of the Ukrainian-born men arrested last week on campaign finance charges.

President Donald Trump has publicly said he does not know the two Soviet-born associates of his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, who were arrested last week on campaign finance charges.

But according to Politico, Lev Parnas attended Trump’s invite-only election night shindig in New York — and he described himself as a friend of the president.

On Thursday, Trump told reporters, “I don’t know those gentleman. Maybe they were clients of Rudy. You’d have to ask Rudy.” He also dismissed any significance of photos showing him with Parnas and Fruman “because I have a picture with everybody.”

Apart from attending Trump’s election night party, however, Parnas also posted a photo of himself with the president on May 1, 2018 — at the White House.

He captioned the photo saying he enjoyed an “incredible dinner and even better conversation.” The White House has yet to explain why Trump was meeting with the two men.

In another picture from May 2018 posted to social media by Parnas, he is seen with Donald Trump Jr. in Beverly Hills, captioning that photo: “Power Breakfast!!!”
