Jim Wright March 20 at 11:13 AM · Folks, I'm going to take a break from the internet for a few hours. Maybe the rest of the day.

Maybe tomorrow as well.

I got up this morning feeling pretty good and intended to finish a long piece I've been working on for a couple of days. Instead, I read a thread by Ari Fleischer on Twitter, an endless stream of lies about about the intelligence community in the run up to the Iraq War. That shit is personal to me. This guy is such an unbelievable scumbag and he's an example of the very worst of American politics, from his lies about Iraq to his involvement with outing Valarie Plame. We killed tens, HUNDREDS, of thousands of people based on lies he helped push on America, on the world. These dirty rotten sons of bitches, they lied to everybody, to you, to me, to the military, to the world, to themselves, and they've NEVER taken responsibility for it. Never been held to account. And they'll STILL lying. Fleischer is on Twitter right now lying to the world. And the part that REALLY chaps my ass, the part that galls me to my core, is that those of us who were there, who know, who saw it firsthand, WE can't talk about it because we'll go to prison.

It's left me so fucking angry this morning that all I can do is type profanity into my keyboard and scream at the walls with a splitting headache.

I need to step away for a bit.

How can he escape the crucial point that there was nothing in situation demanded to act with immediacy as Bush acted? In doing so kind of group thinking kicked in and Tenet agreed with Bush, despite different reality on ground as found by CIA/UN team.
