In May, Jenna Ryan tweeted that “rioters and agitators need to be prosecuted.”

Jenna Ryan, the Texas life coach and realtor charged in connection with the storming of the U.S. Capitol, tweeted in May amid protests against racial injustice and police brutality that “rioters and agitators need to be prosecuted.”

“I don't like seeing this, however, those riots must be contained and the rioters and agitators need to be prosecuted,” Ryan wrote. “We wouldn't have to have this type of military presence in the USA if it weren't for terrorist activity.”

However, after participating in the Capitol insurrection alongside other pro-Trump rioters and seditionists, Ryan said she and the rest of the mob deserved a pardon from then-President Donald Trump.

Ryan was charged on January 15 in connection with the riot. In an interview with a CBS affiliate after her arrest, she said she didn't partake in any violence and asked for a pardon from President Donald Trump. Trump didn't pardon her before leaving office on January 20.
