Alabama State Auditor Jim Ziegler shared a Facebook post criticizing Sen. Krysten Sinema's clothing choice.

On Saturday, Alabama State Auditor Jim Ziegler posted photos of Arizona Democratic Senator Krysten Sinema on his public “Jim Ziegler State Auditor” Facebook page and on his personal Facebook page, according to AL.com.

The caption on the photo was: “What newly elected AZ democrat senator wore to work.”

While some comments lambasted the post as inappropriate on Ziegler’s part, other commenters compared Sinema’s clothes to those of an exotic dancer or a prostitute.

Ziegler initially posted that Sinema “took the floor improperly attired” but later removed. Instead, he comments on the male senator, Senator Doug Jones (D-Alabama), who accompanied Sinema on the floor of the U.S. Senate.

“He represents these out-of-state senators instead of us, the people of Alabama,” Ziegler wrote on the Facebook post. “Can you see him? I am exploring running against him next year.”

Ziegler has been known in the past for his divisive statements. During the 2016 special Senate election, he compared "Roy Moore’s alleged relationships with teenage girls to the marriage of teenage Mary and Joseph in the Bible."

Sinema, who was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2018, has also made headlines in the past for her less conventional choices in clothing.
