Alabama Car Dealership Is Giving Away Shotguns, Bibles, And Flags For July 4th
Chatom Ford in Chatom, Alabama, recently went viral for its July 4th promotion, which offers a free 12-gauge shotgun, American flag and Bible with the purchase of a new or used car, according to The Hill.
The dealer’s general manager, Koby Palmer, starred in a promotional video for the event, where he can be seen cocking a shotgun. The Hill said Palmer’s video had been viewed more than 83,000 times by Wednesday morning.
In a Facebook post promoting the event, Palmer wrote, "Between now and the end of July, everyone that comes into our dealership and purchases a new, pre-owned or certified pre-owned car, truck or SUV, not only are they going to get the great deals and service that we provide here, they're also going to get a Bible, an American flag and, also, a 12-gauge shotgun.”
Customers who qualify for the promotion will be given a certificate that can be redeemed at any certified firearms dealer in town, rather than an actual shotgun, and customers must be at least 18 years old and legally able to own a firearm.
Palmer said the promotion is “just showing support for our local community.”
He added: "Anyone that doesn’t 100 percent agree with what we’re portraying, we’re not trying to force our beliefs on anybody. We respect anybody that disagrees, no matter how vehemently they do.”
