After More Than A Week, Trump Finally Condemns Domestic Violence

The president previously lamented that "lives are being shattered" by allegations but said nothing about domestic abuse.

President Donald Trump finally condemned domestic violence after two of his staffers resigned last week for allegedly abusing their spouses.

At the time of senior staffer Rob Porter’s resignation, Trump stuck up for Porter, claiming that Porter had not only denied the allegations, but had also said, that he was innocent of all accusations.

“I am totally opposed to domestic violence and everybody here knows that. I am totally opposed to domestic violence of any kind. Everyone knows that. And it almost wouldn't even have to be said. So, now you hear it, but you all know."
