After Losses, GOP Chairwoman Suggests Ending Direct Voting For State Elections

Republicans appear to be "coming to explicitly see democracy as dangerous to their rule," Ezra Klein noted.

On Twitter, Dr. Kelli Ward, the Chairwoman of the Arizona Republican Party, suggested implementing the electoral college at the state level in order to prevent future Republican losses.

Ward’s suggestion is an open challenge to American democracy. Republicans fear they can no longer win elections based on winning the most votes.

Twitter users were quick to let Ward know her idea is a poor one:

Still, Ward was not finished, going on to make another attack against direct voting.
