Congressman Adam Schiff has been hiring additional staffers for the House Intelligence Committee to dedicate their time to investigating potential ties between President Donald Trump and Russia.
According to RollCall, the staff is set to double, with about half specifically hired to investigate the President. Some of the new staffers include a former prosecutor and a corruption expert.
The moves by Schiff also follow an increase in oversight among House Democrats. One example being increased staffers within the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. The moves by Democrats demonstrates increased surveillance on the activities of the Trump Administration, especially those related to the 2016 campaign and Trump’s involvement with Putin.
