Accused Kenosha Shooter Receives $50,000 Donation From Gun Rights Group
Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old accused of fatally shooting two protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin, last month, received a $50,000 donation from the National Foundation for Gun Rights, according to Fox News.
- The foundation, a nonprofit extension of the National Association for Gun Rights, reportedly amassed the funds from more than 1,000 donations.
"I spoke with Kyle's mother this morning to let her know NFGR received over 1,000 donations amounting to over $50,000 from folks who support her son," said Dudley Brown, the foundation’s executive director, in a press release.
Hours after telling the Daily Caller he was in Kenosha to protect a business and help anyone who might get hurt, Rittenhouse allegedly shot and killed two people and wounded a third.
Rittenhouse’s attorneys and supporters maintain his actions were in self defense.
