The same White House official who penned an anonymous NYT op-ed last year has now written a book about the president.

Refugee women and their children are of little use to America, President Donald Trump has said, according to a new book.

The Associated Press reported that the book, authored by an anonymous senior official in the Trump administration, also characterizes the president as “volatile, incompetent and unfit to be commander in chief.”

Excerpts published by The Washington Post include one showcasing Trump’s alleged feelings toward refugee women and children: “We get these women coming in with like seven children. They are saying, ‘Oh, please help! My husband left me!’ They are useless. They don’t do anything for our country. At least if they came in with a husband we could put him in the fields to pick corn or something.”

The book was written by the same anonymous White House officials who penned an anonymous op-ed in The New York Times last year, claiming to be part of a group of officials working to frustrate the president’s most “misguided impulses.”

Now, however, that same official appears to admit it was a lost cause: “Unelected bureaucrats and cabinet appointees were never going to steer Donald Trump the right direction in the long run, or refine his malignant management style. He is who he is.”
