50% Of Americans Fear That The US Is Slipping Into An Authoritarian Dictatorship

Half of the country now believes the U.S. is "in danger of becoming a nondemocratic, authoritarian country."

A poll commission by former President George W. Bush and former Vice President Joe Biden revealed a startling yet unsurprising piece of information: 50 percent of Americans believe the U.S. is "in danger of becoming a nondemocratic, authoritarian country."

MSNBC political commentator Donny Deutsche responded on Deadline White House:

"You look at the traces of early, autocratic regimes, the stuff that's happening now is that ...you give enough people little nuggets of what they want ...everyone starts to overlook one little thing ...all of a sudden we're not who we are".
