2015 Study: 92% Of Americans Living In Mexico Are Living There Illegally

A 2015 study conducted by the National Institute of Geography and Statistics found that 92% of Americans living in Mexico are there illegally. The Mexican government is much more flexible with undocumented citizens compared to the Trump administration in the U.S.

By 2017, there was a 37.8% increase of Americans in Mexico illegally, according to Excelsior. Two years later, that number is likely to have increased even further.

Also by 2017, Trump had sent 11,328 people back to Mexico from the U.S. Only 723 of those people had criminal records, but Mexican authorities were told that the other illegal immigrants were deported for committing a misdemeanor.
