Susan Collins: Dr. Ford Was Probably Assaulted But Her Memory Is Faulty

"I do believe that she was assaulted. I don't know by whom...but I do not believe" it was Brett Kavanaugh.

Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) said she believes Christine Blasey Ford was sexually assaulted — just not by now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Collins believes Dr. Ford's memory is faulty and has mistaken Kavanaugh for someone else.

Senator Collins is Gaslighting Dr. Ford; a clinical psychologist with more credentials backing up her expertise than Collins could hope for to back up hers. Ford knows exactly who attacked her. Nobody forgets that. She's being patronizing and insulting. She's taking the position that objective truth doesn't exist. Being the partisan hack that she is, she chooses to believe that Ford is telling "her truth" while Kavanaugh is telling THE TRUTH. The problem here is that she's based her yes vote on the alleged attack which might be arguable, instead of his demeanor in his denial at the hearing which is not arguable. He completely lost it, and presented a clear portrait of a person unfit to sit on the court. Any woman that acted like he did would never get confirmed. Crying, and whining and pouting and yelling and interrupting and responding to questions by questioning those questioning him, was over the top and should have disqualified him right there and then. The argument made is that his reactions should be forgiven because his character was being attacked. Too bad if the questions are to personal. This is a lifetime job where you get to decide on how the government will effect everybody's life for generations. So the questions are tough. That goes with the territory. You didn't act like an impartial judge. You acted like a partisan hack who's future votes are totally predictable. You've signaled to all, your bias and prejudice by blaming all your problems on Democrats holding a grudge over the 2012 election, or the Clintons or a left wing conspiracy where everyone is out to "get you".

Senator Collins overlooked all of that and decided that patronizing Dr. Ford by Gaslighting her, would serve her purposes. She'll pay for her disingenuous justification.
