Brock Turner Appears In Criminology 101 Textbook

Stanford University rapist Brock Turner appears in a major criminology 101 textbook under the subject of rape.

Some backstory:

Mr. Turner raped an unconscious woman and then fled after being confronted by other students. He was then apprehended by two international students after which he was taken into custody. At trial, Mr. Turner was found guilty of three counts of felony sexual assault, however, he served only six months in a county jail.

Mr. Turner became a poster child for White privilege after he was sentenced to six months in jail for three sexual assault convictions, a sentence that would be unheard of for a person of color found guilty of the same offenses.

His trial was also memorable because of the victim impact statement, which many survivors of sexual assault said validated their own feelings.
