The Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500, and Nasdaq Composite surged on Wednesday, according to CNBC.

  • The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 439.58 points, or 1.60 percent, to close at 27,940.47.
  • The S&P 500 surged 2.0 percent to close at 3,398.96.
  • The Nasdaq Composite outperformed 2.7 percent to close at 11,141.56.

Tech shares rebounded after selling off heavily in the past three sessions. Tesla surged 10.9 percent after the biggest sell-off on record. Apple gained 4 percent while Facebook, Amazon, Alphabet, and Microsoft closed higher. “We were due for a bounce,” said one trader. “We had three days of decent selling and these things tend to get a little overextended.”
