Tesla shares fell after Walmart sued Tesla’s solar energy unit because poor installation allegedly led to panels catching fire at seven stores, according to Business Insider.

Tesla Shares slid 2% early Wednesday after the news of the suit. The lawsuit comes after a rough second-quarter earnings report that hit share prices hard at Tesla and erased $7 billion in market value from the company.

Walmart claims that the fires were the result of “widespread negligence” by Tesla and its employees who installed the panels.

In the filing, Walmart said, "As of November 2018, no fewer than seven Walmart stores had experienced fires due to Tesla's solar system."

The lawsuit will be in private arbitration for a time and Tesla claimed that the allegations were untrue. Tesla’s shares have been falling and have had a tough time over the past year.
