Walmart is removing cashiers and conveyor belts at one of its most popular superstores in Fayetteville, Arkansas, according to Fox News.

Walmart is testing checkout efficiency and limiting human interaction while the US continues to struggle with the coronavirus. Workers will still be readily available to assist customers that are struggling to checkout themselves.

Walmart has plans to expand the program if it is successful in Arkansas.

In April, health officials in a suburb of Denver ordered a Walmart to close after three people that had been to the store died after being infected with COVID-19.
