A recent report showed California's population growth at a record low and the state has ranked in the top 10 most moved out of states in the past 5 years.
“You know, it’s no secret what’s been going on in California,” said Tim Theisen, a man who recently moved out of California.
"And as we crossed the line he would say, 'ok do your homework for the day,'" said Barbara, "And I would go online and I would say you know, what are property taxes, what are state income tax rates, what are personal property taxes, DMV fees, all of those things and we started making a list.”
On the opposite end, cheaper states with fewer politics are seeing a massive influx of citizens. Tennesee, Texas, Florida, Ohio, and Arizona have seen the largest increase of new residents in recent years.
California, once a dream destination in the US, is entering a mass exodus due to high taxes, high cost of living, and politics.
