Tesla unveils new truck despite facing production challenges with its other cars.

Tesla has recently unveiled an electric pick-up truck that seeks to disrupt a very lucrative market.

The unveiling was in typical Tesla fashion, with much fanfare and demonstrations proving the strength of the product. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, made claims around the strength of the truck’s armor frame and the truck’s glass. However, a demonstration on stage failed when the truck’s windows were left badly damaged.

Customers are now able to put forward a completely refundable $100 deposit. However, it is not exactly clear when customers will actually be able to purchase one of these trucks.

Tesla has been known to constantly push back deadlines as it struggles with the challenge of churning out large numbers of cars at quick rates. Production for the most basic model of the truck is expected to occur in late 2021.

The truck itself comes in three models. The models differ based on the number of motors it has, customers would be able to choose between buying a truck with one, two or three motors. The more motors in a car the longer the truck can drive on a single charge. The three-motor truck is able to drive up to 500 miles on a single charge. That model has a starting price of $69,900.
