US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is testing out a new hybrid cloud-based product from Google that was given to CBP amid protests from employees, according to Business Insider.

Google made a special exception to allow CBP to test out their new software for free. There is not yet a formal free trial program for resellers or other customers, but CBP was given access to the software.

Last week, over 1,300 Google employees signed a petition urging Google to not provide cloud services to CBP. Free trials through resellers through potential Google Cloud customers is not uncommon and Google has long been doing business with CBP and other government agencies.
