The Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500, and Nasdaq Composite gained on Monday.

• The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 229.29 points or 0.76 percent, to close at 30,211.91.
• The S&P 500 gained 1.61 percent to close at 3,773.86.
• The Nasdaq Composite gained 2.55 percent to close at 13,403.39.

Markets recovered after falling 3.3 percent last week.
