Matty-Sways

Mercedes-Benz is recalling about 14,000 GLE and GLS SUVs because of concerns that the rear door window trim may detach.

Mercedes-Benz is expected to begin a recall on Dec. 3, 2019 for about 14,000 GLE and GLS SUVs because of concerns that the rear door window trim may detach to cause a road hazard and a crash risk. This recall affects only 2020 model-year vehicles. Dealerships will be available to schedule a time when a mechanic can inspect the trim and properly secure it.

Owners may contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 800-367-6372.

Effected Vehicles:

  • 2020 Mercedes-Benz
    • GLE350
    • GLE350 4Matic
    • GLE450 4Matic
    • GLS450 4Matic
    • GLS580 4Matic

If you plug your car’s 17-digit vehicle identification number (VIN) into NHTSA’s website and a recall doesn’t appear, it means your vehicle doesn’t currently have one. Because automakers issue recalls often, and for many older vehicles, we recommend checking back regularly.
