Former Goldman Sachs Chief Executive Lloyd Blankfein tweeted that Bernie Sanders would ruin the economy if elected President, according to The New York Times.

Bernie Sanders is not a fan favorite of the American 1 percent. His proposed wealth tax, criticism of large businesses avoiding taxes, and disapproval of billionaires haven't helped his status among the wealthiest Americans.

Mr. Blankfein continued tweeting, "if Dems go on to nominate Sanders, the Russians will have to reconsider who to work for to best screw up the US. Sanders is just as polarizing as Trump AND he’ll ruin our economy and doesn’t care about our military. If I’m Russian, I go with Sanders this time around."

Bernie Sanders' campaign manager, Faiz Shakir, responded the next morning with a tweet of his own. “This is what panic from the Wall Street elite looks and sounds like,” he said.
