Apple, Amazon, Facebook, and Google added almost $200 billion to their market values after-hours Thursday, according to CNBC.
At the closing bell on Thursday, Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, and Facebook had a combined market valuation worth $4.9 trillion. In after-hours trading, that value surpassed $5.1 trillion. All 4 companies released strong earnings reports that beat analyst expectations.
Apple alone added $74.4 billion to its market value in after-hours trading. Amazon also added about $74.4 billion in market value after-hours. Alphabet added $7.6 billion even after reporting the first revenue decline in the company's history. Facebook added $42.6 billion in market
