Bezos annouced that $10 million will go to a handful of justice and equality organizations.

The CEO and founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, shared an email from a customer chastising Bezos's support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

The email, which Bezos shared on Sunday contains many expletives. "I was placing an order with your company when I discovered your statement of support for Black Lives Matter… I canceled my order and I know for a fact I won't be the only one", the email says. Bezos declared the person as the "kind of customer I'm happy to lose".

Several Amazon employees have made their support for Black Lives Matter known following the death of George Floyd. "The company also announced plans to donate $10 million to organizations supporting justice and equity, including the NAACP and the National Urban League." Bezos also wrote that he had received a multitude of negative emails following his public posts supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.

"There have been a number of sickening but not surprising responses in my inbox since my last post… This sort of hate shouldn't be allowed to hide in the shadows. It's important to make it visible. This is just one example of the problem", Bezos said.

The Amazon CEO also shared another email with the subject line "All Lives Matter" last week from a customer displeased with the Black Lives Matter banner on the Amazon homepage. Bezos responded to the email with "I have to disagree with you. 'Black lives matter' doesn't mean other lives don't matter."
