Amazon Plans to Open New Distribution Center Near Augusta

wagnerap Inc. is planning to open a new distribution center outside Augusta, Georgia.

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced that Amazon had plans to open a new distribution center outside Augusta, Georgia, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

This new center will create over 800 jobs and will be located at the White Oak Business Park in Appling, Georgia. Amazon currently has over 3,500 full-time workers in Georgia. Amazon already has 7 distribution centers in the state.

Amazon is also building fulfillment centers in the state adding an additional 1,500 jobs. Lastly, the company has plans to occupy over 1 million square feet for a logistics operation in Buford.

It seems Amazon has become very fond of Georgia and wants to expand its operations there.
