Paula White said her foray into politics wasn't really about politics at all — it was about following God's orders.

Pastor Paula White, President Donald Trump’s spiritual adviser, said recently that she was ordered by God to serve Trump, and saying “no” to the president would have amounted to saying “no” to God himself.

“Literally, the God aspect, like, what God told me to do, how I even got involved, because the one thing that I said, I’ll never do politics,” White said, according to RawStory. “But when it came down to it, it wasn’t about doing politics, it was about an assignment. To say no to President Trump would be saying no to God, and I won’t do that.”

White has been one of Trump’s most faithful supporters. She is a preacher of the prosperity gospel, which holds that by following God's will and offering financial sacrifices — often in the form of sending White monetary gifts — people will experience material abundance and God's blessings.
