Trump Pastor Tells Followers To Skip Paying Electric Bills And Send Her The Cash
One of President Donald Trump’s spiritual advisers recently told her followers that sending her as much money as they possibly can will help them curry favor with God — even if that means skipping out on paying their electric bills.
According to RawStory, prosperity gospel preacher Paula White made the comments at her Supernatural Ministry School in Miami, where she said that “followers who send their money to Florida Power and Light (FPL) every month instead of giving it to her church are treating the electric company better than they treat God.”
White also suggested that those who pay their electric bills are somehow elevating the electric company to god-like status, trusting in it to deliver them from their suffering.
“Instead of writing [that check] to the house of God as I’m instructed to, then what I’m saying spiritually is, ‘FPL, I have now established a spiritual law that put you first,'” White said. “So, FPL, save my family, FPL, deliver my drug addicted son. FPL, kill this cancer that doctors say is in my body.”
RawStory noted that White opened the National Day of Prayer Event at the White House in 2017 and was officially brought on board the Trump administration in the Office of Public Liaison last year.
