THE MOOCH ON CLIMATE CHANGE: THERE WAS SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE THAT THE EARTH WAS FLAT TOO

Trump adviser Anthony “The Mooch” Scaramucci claimed that climate science is analogous to the credibility of geocentrism.

Mr. Scaramucci accused scientists of getting a lot of things “wrong” while speaking on CNN. He compared medieval flat-earthers to modern climate scientists:

There was overwhelming science that the earth was flat and there was an overwhelming science that we were the center of the world,” Scaramucci added. “We get a lot of things wrong in the scientific community.

While speaking to Chris Cuomo of CNN, Mr. Scaramucci also claimed the earth was 5,500 years old but then corrected himself, saying, human history was 5,500 years old:

CUOMO: But you don’t accept the science [of climate change]. Let me just move on to something else, though, which is—

SCARAMUCCI: I didn’t say that. I said I’m not certain about it—

CUOMO (talking simultaneously): You said you don’t know. I’m saying the scientific community does.

SCARAMUCCI: But you’re saying that you do, and you’re saying the scientific community knows, and I’m saying people have gotten things wrong throughout the 5,500-year history of our planet.

CUOMO (simultaneously): I think you have to distinguish between predictions and the fundamental proposition.SCARAMUCCI (simultaneously, correcting his last statement): Human history, I should say

Human history is a lot older than 5,500 years.

Humans were making art, burying the dead and had a religious cosmology many thousands of years before this. His age of human history corresponds with the biblical calendar of Genesis, which makes his correction meaningless.
