South Dakota, Iowa, And Nebraska Join Forces To Pray Away Natural Disasters

Gov. Kristi L. Noem (R-SD)

Three governors in three Midwest states declared April 7th as a “Statewide Day of Prayer” in the wake of extreme floods.

Governors in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota all declared Sunday, April 7th as a “Statewide Day of Prayer" in the wake of horrendous flooding that swept the Midwest last month.

In an executive proclamation issued last week, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem declared Sunday, April 7th an official day of prayer across the state, KIMT3 News reports. "I am asking South Dakotans to join me in praying for the well-being of our state, our first responders, and all those who've been affected by this disaster,” she said.

Noem, an outspoken climate change denier, said that "extreme weather and extreme flooding" wreaked havoc across her state, and urged citizens to give victims and first responders their spiritual support.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts also made similar statements.

They will still look for a handout from the federal govt and of course get it from the trump admin since so many of the maga cultists live in these religious states. Praying isnt going to help, but these idiots sure think it will. Unfortunately, praying didnt stop all the disasters in the bible belt since gays were allowed to marry.

If they love religion so much, move to Iran. They can live in their religious utopia there and leave america to prosper.

Too late. God already sent the scientists, and you ignored them.

Yea because thousand of years of millions of people of every faith praying to get rid of disease has worked wonders....

Maybe the science that cured leprosy (despite the Bible claiming ERRONEOUSLY that bird blood cures leprosy) is a better investment....

Remember multiple religions have fought against science vehemently, things like trying to stop the printing press (because it would have made books cheap enough for common people to afford) and made performing an autopsy a crime punished by death!!

Is there no end to the stupidity of the religious?

There was a religious guy on a ship. One day, there was a fierce storm. The ship started to take on water, and the religious guy prayed that he wouldn't die. Then, the ship sank. The religious guy made it to the surface, happy that his prayers had worked. But he was surrounded by nothing but water. He found a floating plank and held onto it for dear life, and prayed, "Dear God, please rescue me!" As he looked around, he saw a lifeboat approach, and the people reached out their hands to pull him aboard. He pushed them away, saying, "God will save me." Then he felt something bump him from below. It was a dolphin, trying to get him on its back, so it could swim with him to safety. He pushed the dolphin away, saying, "God will save me." Then, a helicopter flew near and they lowered a ladder for him, but he turned away, saying, "God will save me." Then, he drowned. The next thing he knew, he was in heaven, and there was God. He beseeched him, saying, I believed, I believed! and you didn't save me. And God said, "I sent a lifeboat; I sent a dolphin; and I sent a helicopter! What else did you want!? i.e., we have science, we have ways to counteract climate change - but what else do they want!?

I pray...they just fix problems which are fixable.Greenhouse air pollution is completely within our control, as is mitigation in the face of 30 years of already known and advised USA warnings. :\ #NCA4 #SR15

But if you won't help...at least have the decency to stop blocking the evacuation routes by kneeling in the exist doors. ;)
