The prominent evangelical leader has supported Trump from the beginning and intends to help him win re-election.

Faith and Freedom Coalition founder Ralph Reed argues in his new book that American evangelical Christians are duty-bound to support President Donald Trump in the upcoming election.

The book, initially titled “Render to God and Trump,” is due out before the 2020 election, Politico reported, and in it, Reed ferociously argues that Christians “have a moral obligation to enthusiastically back” Trump to save the country from the left.

The title has since been changed to “For God and Country: The Christian case for Trump,” though Regnery Publishing declined to comment on the reason why.

A description of the book says Reed will “persuasively” argue that evangelicals must back Trump in order to stave off “the stridently anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, and pro-abortion agenda of the progressive left.”

The loyal Trump supporter will also take on, and attempt to dismantle, the narrative that Christians who support the president are hypocrites who “have so thoroughly compromised their witness that they are now disqualified from speaking out on moral issues in the future.”

For the immediate future, Reed is spending his time and resources working to help Trump win re-election next year.

“Our plan in 2020 is to have 500 paid staff and about 5,000 volunteers. Some of these folks are knocking on doors eight hours a day,” he said during a recent podcast.

Reed’s book is scheduled for release in April, Politico said.
