A pastor in Grand Rapids, Michigan found himself caught up in a sting to catch child sex predators, and after admitting guilt and a sexual attraction to children, he was sentenced to 60 days in jail and probation.

David Diehl, 40, was arrested in 2016 after a Craigslist sting operation discovered him unknowingly texting an undercover cop in regard to meeting a man's 11-year-old daughter for sex.

"This case is not a reflection of who I am. ... I am a good person," Diehl told the judge before sentencing.

The pastor's sentence is far from the maximum this charge carries, which is four years. Following his two months in jail, he will be on probation, barring him from using any internet-connected devices.

Diehl, who had no prior criminal record, admitted to officers that he had a ''sexual interest'' in children ages 12 to 13, according to court documents.
