Trump supporters Lance Wallnau and televangelist Jim Bakker are pushing a $45 gold-plated coin engraved with the faces of President Trump and Persia’s King Cyrus. The evangelists claim that the ‘Trump coin’ puts worshippers directly in touch with God for the purpose of protecting Trump, according to New York Daily News.
Evangelicals have compared Trump to Persian Emperor Cyrus, since historically, both men gave control of Jerusalem back to the Jewish people.
Two-years-ago, Trump declared that Jerusalem was the capital of Israel. 2600-years-ago, King Cyrus freed the Jews from Babylonian captivity and allowed them to rebuild the second temple in their traditional capitol.
“When I asked the Lord, ‘Why the coin?’ he said ‘Because when you take the coin, it’s a point of contact,’” Wallnau said. “So your faith is being released with a million other believers to pray protection and peace and wisdom and counsel over the president of the United States and over his family.”
Wallnau, who referred to the upcoming election as a “battle for America,” warned viewers that non-believers may ridicule their decision to pray for the president. “That’s why we’ve got to pray because they think we’re crazy. But we’re actually the sane ones so we’re praying.”
