BANKER, WHO BELIEVES EARTH IS 5,500 YEARS OLD, EXPECTED TO JOIN TRUMP ADMINISTRATION

Trump adviser Anthony Scaramucci is expected to be named U.S. ambassador to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development according to Bloomberg.

Mr. Scaramucci is the Founder of Highbridge Capital. The role requires Senate confirmation and is based in Paris, France.

Mr. Scaramucci gained infamy near the beginning of the Trump administration due to his public positions on scientific matters. While speaking to Chris Cuomoof CNN, Mr. Scaramucci claimed the earth was 5,500 years old:

CUOMO: But you don’t accept the science. Let me just move on to something else, though, which is—

SCARAMUCCI: I didn’t say that. I said I’m not certain about it—

CUOMO (talking simultaneously): You said you don’t know. I’m saying the scientific community does.

SCARAMUCCI: But you’re saying that you do, and you’re saying the scientific community knows, and I’m saying people have gotten things wrong throughout the 5,500-year history of our planet.

CUOMO (simultaneously): I think you have to distinguish between predictions and the fundamental proposition.SCARAMUCCI (simultaneously, correcting his last statement): Human history, I should say

Human history is a lot older than 5,500 years.

Humans were making art, burying the dead and had a religious cosmology many thousands of years before this. His age of human history corresponds with the biblical calendar of Genesis, which makes his correction meaningless.
