Online this evening: Background Checks Now National Town Hall

Taking place at the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington

Gun violence prevention leaders and advocates from around the US are meeting in Washington, DC this evening for Background Checks Now: A National Town Hall.

Scheduled participants include Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut, Congresswoman Lucy McBath of Georgia, Jaclyn Corin of March for Our Lives, Pastor Brenda Mitchell from the Everytown Survivor Network, former ATF agent David Chipman and Mark Barden of Sandy Hook Promise.

The event page says that 97% of Americans support bipartisan Background Checks Act.
