Just watched your Body Positivity video. Very intriguing, and I honestly agree 100%.
@lbrindley Oh, I do not think it is limited to women, nor should it be. The problem inherently lies in that for men, most of the body positivity movement pertains to women talking about it, so as males, we feel as if we do not want to have an opinion either way
@Jack16 - I do not think that the body positivity movement is limited to women. However, I do think that you have a point when you say that it is hard for males to discuss the issue regarding women's bodies.
I feel like, as a male, it is hard to discuss this topic since unfortunately you have to choose your words very wisely now-a-days it seems
I can tell you do "body-shame," but there is nothing wrong with opposing a movement that almost discourages people from adopting healthy lifestyles.
Thank you! It's hard to critique the body positivity movement without sounding like you're "pro-body shaming," but in my opinion, it can be just as superficial as the attitudes it condemns.
