When did you first feel that Trump would win? I had a gut-feeling when he first announced - i think the images were of him on the escalator at trump tower? And then all the way through the narrowing down and conventions and debates and so on, while everyone on tv was basically laughing at him I always thought he would do it. I wish I placed a bet tbh.

Honestly, I never thought Trump would actually win. I was sure Hillary would right up until the end, when I saw the election results. I HOPED Trump would win, but wasn't at all optimistic about it.

that was, and is, the problem with US media i guess: they're all in nyc and la in their bubbles and have no idea what the country is thinking. lucky for us, coz we get cool ppl like Roaming :) sycophantic mode

oh yeah I totally feel like civilization is finally improving. But yeah I knew people didn't like the media or Clinton and wanted someone different, but didn't realize it was that many!

I said feel rather than think :) I had a gut-feeling right at the beginning, but had to look around for reasons lol. So when I talked to people about it I said how big decisions like brexit etc went the opposite way to predictions, and how the last half century has roughly been alternating between republican and democrat, and then later, probably in the republican debates, the big reason (which shouldve been clear to 'experts' in the media at the time): just how pissed off 'normal' americans were at the media and the clintons and washington. they wanted someone different, and in the debates and stuff Trump was absolutely different - off the cuff, rough around the edges, funny sometimes, rude others. totally unPC and unPolitician-like

Yeah I wanted him to win from the start but I didn't think he would. Didn't RM say one time that she didn't think he would either?

To be honest I didn’t think he would win because I heard that he was behind by a lot but I’m glad he did.
