I don't think that is equivalent. Drunk driving is something that you do; sex is something that is done to you. It is the same as if you are wondering drunk and someone punches you in the face. It's not your fault that you got hit. There is a big difference however between consenting while drunk and not being able to resist while drunk. This is a very important distinction that is very oven confused and seen as being the same.
I think that for drunk sex to count as rape there needs to be 2 criteria that need to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
- The intoxication was at the level at which the person was not aware of any action they might have done
- The defendant knew of this level of intoxication
But lol non of this really matter at all. The courts are controlled by feminist activist who every year narrow the line between consensual sex and rape in order to convict as many people, innocent or not, in order to get a conviction number that fits their narrative.
Best advise, do NOT have sex with someone you don't know well especially if you know that they have been drinking, even if it is just one drink. I know this sounds preposterous in a free society like America, but we're in feminist America now, yey!
