To add an additional though or two: The two religions are grossly incompatible with one other, the case being that Islam is founded in the ways of the Old Testament and Sharia as by Muhammad’s teachings within the Hadith—which practices inequality between genders (i.e., females are always subordinate to males) and intolerance among opposing political ideologies (i.e., the Anglo-Saxon’s societal achievements in natural rights, common law, and the status quo cannot exist within the chaotic barbarism of Sharia)—while Christianity is founded by the New Covenant.
More to the point, Islam (among other flavored religions) considers Christians to be heretics in their worshiping of God (idolatry), worshiping of multiple Gods (polytheism), and humanizing of God (incarnation.)
The Quran, which is the core of Islam—regardless if referred to as “radical Islam” or not—views Christians as mere infidels (the unfaithful) or kafirs (nonbelievers) and wages damning war, pain and suffering against them all throughout; to quote (one of scores of such) passages from the Quran at 3:151: “We will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve for what they have associated with Allah of which He had not sent down [any] authority. And their refuge will be the Fire, and wretched is the residence of the wrongdoers.”
The basic political structure of Islamists (e.g., Muslims) is essentially a tribal monarchy, again this is neither compatible with Christian values nor Western ideologies, such as separation of church and state, constitutional republicanism, individualism, etc.
Islam is a deeply flawed and archaic theology, period. It is not a religion of peace, but of insufferable death.
Islam is to religion as Keynesianism is to market economies and Trotskyism is to nation states.
