DHS Announced Plan to End Family Separation: We'll Believe it When We See It
A few hours ago, the Department of Homeland Security announced it will draft an order to stop kidnapping and terrorizing children and families at the border.
Even if they do, it will require 45s signature to make it policy. Plus the new mandate will likely include indefinite detentions for families. So while kidnapping children from their families might come to a halt, this administration has proven time and again, they will continue to escalate until they are stopped.
Mijente, a national hub for Latinx and Chicanx organizing, said this administration has shown who they are and we have to continue holding their feet to the fire in a Facebook live video today.
They announced an action in San Diego on July 2nd and you can sign up to get alerts for other actions here.
