Emeritus Professor of Law and president of New Mexico Press Women, Sherri Burr introduces us to her new book, about New Exhibition Opening “400 Years of Freedom, Restrictions, and Survival.” The installation commemorates the first arrival of Africans in August 1619 and challenges traditional notions of how slavery developed in this country.
