Here is what bothers me about Party Politics. Everyone gets caught up in why Dems/Reps are creating our problems, yet none of these knuckleheads take the time to look up and see how big money corporations continue to violate our country. Look at the largest company in the country pays ZERO federal taxes. ZERO. And we wanna point fingers are the poor/black/hispanics...etc..etc..
Time to look up people., and get your head our the sand.

seems like the reason they avoid taxes is the potential job creation that amazon will have if they come to a state. Nestle does the same thing with it's water products. they go into desperate places in america who need the jobs and nestle pays as little as 200$ to run the factory in some states https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/sep/29/nestle-pays-200-a-year-to-bottle-water-near-flint-where-water-is-undrinkable. 50,000 jobs sounds better for a sitting mayor then taxes. u can run a reelection with that, which is why alot of these companies get away with not paying their taxes.

Yes, which is the point of the comment I'd imagine. A rational mind can see that when pointing out legally enabled loopholes the way to address it is to approach it legally. However in the meantime shade is all that can be applied. Shady mc shade face.

You can't really fault Amazon for this. It's a business. Amazon is basically Business McBusinessface; they sell nearly everything, nearly everywhere. It's raison d'être is to make money. If it makes money legally than it needs to be addressed at the legal level, not by throwing shade on a business doing what businesses do; being all businessy. BTW... BUSINESS!

I think Amazon also avoids state taxes in a lot of places. For some reason in some states sales from brick and mortar stores are taxed but online sales to places that don't have a physical location don't have sales taxes applied. States a losing tons of money because of this and it allows Amazon to undercut businesses that have stores, employ people, and pay taxes in the state.

Ah it's always like that with the rich and big corps. I remember Trump doing that too from some reports. Oddly enough i've been trying to find Amazon connection with politicians but so far only found local politicians getting small fundings from them in Seattle. So this is probably just their way of saying fck taxes, if we can avoid them all together just because we can then WHY NOT. Sad
