I don't disagree with this, as simple as a concept and as obvious as it is, it's probably the answer that makes the most sense. That being said, whatever his motivations are, if it gets low level offenders or wrongly convicted out of jail, I'm not going to rally against it for the sake of being against the president I don't like. Doing the right thing for the wrong reasons, in this specific instance, I can live with. It doesn't right any other wrongs or minimize any other flaws.
