Kelly describes the painstaking process the military employs from the moment a U.S. soldier dies on the battlefield to the painful meeting of the Casualty Officer with the family. He also describes the role of the President and gives an eloquent defense of President Trump’s effort to comfort the families of the soldiers recently killed in the ambush in Niger.
In doing so, he demonstrates just how the deranged hatred of the President by his opponents has desecrated even this solemn occasion because it has been used for political gain. This video is especially emotional because General Kelly is a Gold Star parent.
