That is a good point, because not all physicians are cut out to be able to manage. That being said, part of the problem in many hospitals in America is that they are being run by businessmen and women who have no insight into the actual patient treatment experience and run the hospitals based on dollars and cents. There needs to be a good medium where the hospital is focused on the patient from a doctors point of view, but obviously keeps the balance sheet in check because hospitals can't be run like Congress. Hopefully Rear Admiral Jackson surrounds himself with people with solid business minds so they can keep each other in check!

It’s true, being a good doctor is different from being able to handle the responsibility of a huge number of employees and even more vets.

While he is a doctor he has never manage a some as massive as the VA. That is the concern that I would have, no experience when it comes to managing an organization with that huge of a responsible.
