Is victory in the War on Terror achievable, or will terror remain a constant threat to be managed for the foreseeable future?

And while we constantly ward off terror, many liberties had been sacrificed. Probably for the convenience part, it's worth it and unless we do something about bombings or meddling in other people's conflicts and wars, hatred for the US will remain high for many in the middle east where most radical islam terrorists come from.

I think you're right. I don't believe that it is because we can't eradicate them. I think it's more along the lines of our government having a boogie man to protect us from and keep them relevant. Not only does it keep them relevant it makes us more agreeable to give up some of our freedoms and privacy.

Sadly JP, I think the horse is out of the barn on this one. We will always be under some threat and have to deal with it.
