This story was shocking to hear but I want to encourage you God does not condone this acts. These acts are not a catholic problem but a problem within all religion, and any profession of leadership with power. I was a victim of such while attending high school. My teacher had "MS" and used his illness to guilt me and other girls to perform sexual acts to him. In the 1970s you did not go to someone and complain that anyone in authority has done such an heinous act. One was not the only girl who was trapped by this teacher. My high school friend went through the same experience. It was good to know I was not alone and had a friend to depend on. Whenever we had new girls in our classroom my friend and I would make sure they were not alone with him.
God does not give "any" authority for those who are priest, pastors and church leaders to molest, rape or sexual abuse a child.
God said you would know my people, meaning, you would know who are truly for the Lord and live obediently follow the bible , we would know them by their fruits. What are those fruits, they are: love, joy, goodness, gentleness, self-control, peace-makers, meekness, temperance, joy. If any of these traits are not visible in their lifestyle then they are not of God.
These acts are sinful acts that Satan wants to make sure that you and others who are abused would blame God and think that God give such a permission.
The one thing that Catholic need to understand that they are to expose the sins of the people, to warn the people what they're doing are wrong and God will hold them responsible. Read the scripture below:
"Ezekiel 3:20Living Bible (TLB)
And if a good man becomes bad, and you refuse to warn him of the consequences, and the Lord destroys him, his previous good deeds won’t help him—he shall die in his sin. But I will hold you responsible for his death and punish you."
God will hold the Pope and all others involved accountable for not taken action against these crimes. And that what these sexual exploitation and assaults are, crimes against the child.
Remember this, God is the true authority for our lives and in our lives, this is the reason why reading the bible is so important. A practice that most Catholics does not do.
God stated, " that His word is what makes us free." (paraphrase) His word is the mirror of our lives. I encourage you to give the bible a chance, you will see that all your answers you need for you, your life, relationships, business are in those pages of the bible.
