Animations to Help End FGM

Louise Robertson

A series of hard-hitting animated films on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) developed in the UK by the Royal College of Midwives in collaboration with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Royal College of General Practitioners, NGO partners and most importantly survivors of FGM.

These powerful films show the reality of FGM through the medium of art, and give a much-needed voice to FGM survivors. They clearly illustrate the serious and life-long mental and physical implications of FGM for those who have to experience it.

As well as raising awareness, the films aim to cut through inaccurate and misleading information about FGM.

Please visit the Royal College of Midwives website for more information and the films can be viewed on YouTube.
