Saturday 7th April 2018 is World Health Day and this year the World Health Organisation (WHO) and related organisations are calling for all countries to take action to provide universal health coverage (UHC) so that everyone has access to basic healthcare without facing financial hardship.

Currently half the world's population do not have access to necessary life-saving healthcare and achieving UHC is one of the targets the nations of the world set when adopting the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015. Countries that progress towards UHC will make progress towards the other health-related targets, and towards the other goals. Good health allows children to learn and adults to earn, helps people escape from poverty, and provides the basis for long-term economic development.

Magool supports the campaign for UHC for all and you can learn more about it on the WHO website.
